Recognised as the world's most advanced portable pizza oven, the second generation Ooni Karu 2 (previously known as the Ooni Karu 12G) brings award-winning design and ultimate multi-fuel versatility to your backyard or beyond.

Multi-Fuel Versatility

Out of the box, the oven is ready to be fired up with wood or charcoal, featuring a noticeably wider solid fuel tray that creates a highly even flame for a traditional wood-fired experience. For everyday convenience, you can easily attach an Ooni Gas Burner (sold separately) for highly efficient, propane-fuelled baking.

Switching fuel sources takes less than a minute: simply use the included Torx-head Allen key to remove the solid fuel tray and the two screws holding the draft defender plate at the rear, insert the gas burner, and replace the same two screws.

Advanced Design and High Heat

Reaching professional-level maximum temperatures of 500 °C, the oven hits the ideal baking temperature of 450 °C in as little as 15 minutes, heating up faster than previous generations. It features a borosilicate glass door that retains heat while letting you closely monitor your food.

Innovative ClearView™ technology prevents soot and ash buildup on the glass, while the SureGrab™ door handle safely stays cool to the touch. A useful built-in analogue thermometer also allows you to easily monitor the internal ambient temperature.

Cook-It-All Flexibility

Equipped with a thick 15 mm cordierite baking stone, the oven comfortably accommodates 30 cm round pizzas or Medium Detroit-Style Pizza Pans. It effortlessly cooks a phenomenal Neapolitan-style pizza in just 60 seconds, and with precise temperature control, you can master any style from New York to Detroit.

Beyond pizza, it is highly versatile for flame-cooking professional-level steaks, wings, veggies, dips, and skillet sides. 

Portable and Ready for Adventure

Weighing just 15.3 kg, the oven is exceptionally portable and easy to pack away. Simply fold the legs, detach the chimney, and you are ready to take it anywhere.

To keep the oven in pristine condition and the pizza stone dry for consistent performance, using the Carry Cover for Karu 2 is highly recommended. When not in use for extended periods, storing the oven indoors or in a dry place will reliably protect it from the elements.
